During the July 11 episode of “First Look with Scott Cox,” host Scott Cox said that Congress’ recent approval of naming Bakersfield’s downtown post office after the late Merle Haggard was a “no brainer” that both parties understood.
“How do you not do that?” Cox said. “You don’t do that and you’re out. We will vote you out of office.”
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) was one that authored the legislation, which still needs approval by the Senate and President Donald Trump.
“Who is not going to vote for that?” Cox asked.
