Kern County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man in Mojave on Sunday morning.
Deputies said they were dispatched to L and Shasta streets where the man was found dead on the side of the road. Deputies said the man had been a victim of a gunshot wound.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. At this point in the investigation, no suspects have been identified, deputies said. The Coroner’s Office took custody of the decedent and will release the identity of the decedent and the cause and manner of death at a later time.
