Police search for suspects in Bakersfield Corp yard theft

Two men are wanted by the Bakersfield Police Department in connection to a break-in and theft at the city of Bakersfield’s corporate yard on Sunday.

Police said the two men entered the yard at 1:28 p.m. at 4101 Truxtun Avenue and used bolt cutters to enter storage containers. The suspects removed multiple items and loaded them into a nearby waiting vehicle and fled with the stolen property.

Investigators said the first suspect is a Hispanic male, 25-30 years of age, shaved head, mustache and goatee, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet, 200-210 pounds, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, riding a black mountain bike with gold rims. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, mustache and goatee, 5-8 to 5-10, 180-200 pounds, wearing a white shirt, black zip up hooded sweatshirt, light blue shorts, white shoes, riding a white BMX style bike.

Police said the suspects loaded a red or maroon Mazda B300 Extra Cab Pickup, with tinted rear windows, and fled the scene.
