Two men are behind bars after a fatal hit and run in east Bakersfield. Anthony Saldana, 21, was either walking or riding a skateboard in traffic lanes on Niles Street east of Valencia Drive February 10 when he was struck and killed by a Chevy Colorado pick-up the CHP says was driven by Jose Villa, 49. Authorities say Christian Velasquez, 24, was a passenger in the pickup. Villa allegedly failed to stop to help Saldana or to provide any information on the accident. An anonymous tip Tuesday led CHP officers to an address where they found Villa and Velasquez.
