The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in
identifying a suspect wanted for grand theft. On November 19, 2012, at approximately 1:00 p.m., the suspect, depicted in the attached video surveillance photographs, entered the Helzberg Diamonds Store, located at 2701 Ming Avenue. The suspect asked to see multiple pieces of jewelry. He then fled the business without producing payment.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 19-23 years of age, with a nose piercing.
He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, gray sweatshirt and black pants. Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111 or Detective Pete Cavazos at (661) 326-3561.
