The Californian Highway Patrol said 36-year-old Michael Cudd turned in front of a car as he was trying to make a left turn eastbound on Norris Road around 4:20 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Cudd reportedly struck head-on a car driven by 27-year-old Daniel Geer, who was traveling in the opposite direction.
The impact threw Cudd onto the windshield of Geer's car. He was taken to Kern Medical Center with moderate injuries.
