University Phoenix Instructor and Nurse Practitioner Vicki Greenberg appeared on the Scott Cox Show to discuss post-concussion syndrome.
"Post-concussion syndrome is a result of one or more concussions that build up the problems in your brain over the course of time, and can cause more traumatic long-term injury to the brain and actually interfere with some of your characteristics the rest of your life," Greenberg said.
Many people can get a concussion and not even know they had one, or not see symptoms for 7-10 days, she said. "Watch for nausea and vomiting, seeing stars," she said, adding those injured should have someone watch them for 24 hours.
