According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday, Jan. 31, the Kern County California Multi-jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (Cal-MMET), and members of the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team (KNET) served a search warrant for stolen property at 305 Yampa Street in Bakersfield.
Upon arrival, Max Rosetti, 33, the subject of the search warrant, attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Rosetti was apprehended. Rosetti was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Two additional subjects were detained: Kayla Montez, 19, and Randall Pettichord, 27. They were eventually charged with narcotic violations.
Sheriff's officials said an additional search warrant was obtained for narcotics. Officers searched the premises at 305 Yampa Street. During the search one stolen vehicle was recovered and a stolen utility trailer was recovered.
Approximately ½ pound of processed marijuana was seized; over 200 grams of methamphetamine was seized and over 150 schedule III prescription pills were seized. Two large safes were located and appeared to have been forcibly opened, however, no identifying marks were located. A rifle case containing 65 live rounds of .223 caliber was located and seized. Over $1000.00 U.S. currency was seized and processed for asset forfeiture as proceeds from narcotic sales.
The methamphetamine has a street value of over $20,000; the marijuana’s street value is approximately $500, and the prescription pills have a street value of over $450.
All three were arrested and booked into the Central Receiving Facility on various drug-related charges.
