Mother Sentenced 9 Months For Stabbing Baby

A Bakersfield mother charged with stabbing her baby was sentenced on Tuesday to nine months in jail and five years probation.

Danielle Mailloux accepted a plea bargain, reducing attempted murder charges to child endangerment. She should be released from Lerdo Prison in Shafter, Calif. in February with time served.

Mailloux was arrested in May 2011 on charges of stabbing her six-week-old baby multiple times in the chest. The baby has fully recovered.
