The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault, home invasion robbery and burglary that occurred on Thursday, January 17, 2013, in the 100 block of Glen Oaks Drive. The investigation revealed Duree Anthony Beard, 30, is the suspect wanted in connection with this case. An arrest warrant was obtained, charging him with sexual assault, home invasion robbery and burglary. On April 4, 2011, AB-109 was approved, placing non-violent, non-serious and non-sexual offenders under county-level supervision after their release from state prison. Beard, depicted in the above photograph, is on post-release community supervision pursuant to Assembly Bill 109.
