Two people are now safe after being stranded in the snow on Breckenridge Road. Around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Gary Simmons and Kimberly Cooter were driving over the Breckenridge summit when their Jeep became stuck in the snow. They used their cell phone to call for help. Volunteers from the Kern Valley and Bakersfield Search and Rescue teams helped the pair down the mountain.
