The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for strong-arm robbery. On January 25, 2013, at approximately 8:19 p.m., the suspect, depicted in the above video surveillance photograph, entered the Ride Aid Store, located at 2505 Mount Vernon Avenue and selected merchandise. The suspect attempted to exit the store without paying; however, was confronted by a store employee. The suspect struck the employee, and then fled with the merchandise.
The suspect is described as a Black male, in his 20s, 5’10” tall, 190 lbs., with a medium build, short black hair, sideburns and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black tshirt, black pants and black shoes.
